Anyhoo, Ms Lisa has given us our final individual project and its all about making cards. Greeting cards. And well, we were told to brainstorm our ideas and the colour pallet and stuff like that. and to show them to Ms Lisa to be approved. Must i say, each and everyone's idea was amazing! I was blown away by how creative my class is :)

Anyway, after much pondering on a few ideas, i have come down to the idea of VINTAGE ELECTRONICS.

And well, the deadline for this project is on Nov 5th 2012. SO GOODLUCK TO US ALL :D

WRAP UP FOR COLOUR WHEEL

AHH! Forgot to update! TT.TT

Well, lets just get to the chase.

Ms Lisa had given us a new group project. And its about COLOUR WHEEL!  Well, Me, Zue, Li Wei, Rosey, Aina and Kush had teamed up to make CAPFE 2.0 :D 

Some of our former ideas were using utensils, colours projected from a prism, paper planes and many others.

Discussion time~

After having our tutorial with Ms Lisa, we had the green light to go with PAPER PLANES :D

And with the approval, we started with our work!

We had gone to Popular, Sunway Pyramid to get the papers, and on Monday, Oct 15th. we started folding during the free hours Ms Lisa had given us to complete the project. As usual, we had organised ourselves to do a certain workload in order to obtain a very systematic work plan.

We figured we had to determine the placings of each plane in order to create a nice, neat final outcome. And so we stuck on markings to clearly map out the entire thing.

I suddenly feel so inspirational and colourful. hmmmmm

On monday. Oct 15Th, Li wei had stayed back till 8pm, Kush till 8.45pm and i till 10pm to arrange everything in order to make it fluid and try to make the presence of movement easily identified.

Colour Palettes, Oh Joy :D

HELLO! :D

So today, we had our colour palette final product presentation. AND I AM SOOO PROUD TO SAY, that my work was in the “Very Good” pile :’) So, to explain my work,  

I had use the Warm colour palettes, consisting of Yellow, orange and red. 

And the second palette, I had use the cold colours, which consists of blue, purple and black. 

This exercise has really improved my photoshop and editing skills! 

We also had CAPFe 2.0 discussion just now. I'll keep it a surprise for now, and i'll update about that later on when i have the photos.

Colours and fonts, amazing things they are. *updated

So today, we learnt about COLOURS J TRALALALALALALALA.

Anyway, we were basically introduced to the different meanings/ mood each colours apply.

We were also informed on how fonts play an important role in getting the right emotions across to the audience. For example, the font I’ve chose now, I chose this font because I want to express how thoroughly excited I am for this topic. Because well, colour choice is a big part of designing and what not. Its everything and everywhere. Cant escape them J

After getting to know each of them, we were given our first individual assignment on the topic, which is to find a word that, in our point of view, perfectly associates the colours, and to find a font that compliments them.

Black is, what else besides classy?

Blue is usually Calm and Loyalty

Purple can be associated with sophisticated, royalty, spirituality, nobility, ceremony, mysterious, wisdom, enlightenment, cruelty, arrogance, and mourning.

Red symbolizes strong emotions such as anger, passion, or lust

Grey defines intellectual, boring, maturity

Pink is often paired with femininity, purity and childlike innocence.

Brown applies to earth, hearth, comfort, simplicity

White can also represent reverence, purity, simplicity, peach, humility, youth, winter, snow, good, cold, clinical, and sterile.
